The Concept
Brad and Scott got together in the late 80’s to combine their distinctive styles into a modern take on what they considered Jazz and Progressive Jazz. The resulting collaboration led to over 30 years of great music reflecting many musical interests and styles.
As writers and arrangers first, Brad and Scott are always seeking the best “musical fit” for a particular tune. For this reason, you’ll hear a diverse cast of players on PmB albums – this ensures a fresh approach to each piece, keeping the energy levels high and the grooves ever changing.
We feature some of the top players in the industry, all selected for their particular specialties and matched to the music that will bring out the best in each of them. As you enjoy the PMB experience, you will be listening to some of the best talent in modern music today. Just check out the liner notes for each tune to see who’s contributing.
We also believe strongly in employing new, “undiscovered” talent. Keep your ears on PmB, as you just might be hearing tomorrow’s rising stars.
